Alex was born and raised in Corvallis and graduated from Crescent Valley High School. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Amherst College with dual majors in economics and geology before working as an analyst for Auxier Asset Management near Portland, Oregon. While working as an analyst, Alex had his Series 63, Series 65, and Series 7 licenses, allowing him to buy, sell, and market securities. After a few years at Auxier Asset Management, Alex went back to law school at the University of Arizona where he graduated magna cum laude. 

Alex is a member of the Executive Board of the Oregon New Lawyers Division and a member of the Board of Directors of the Corvallis Caring Place and the Corvallis Boys and Girls Club. In his free time, he volunteers as a coach for the Crescent Valley High School Swim Team.

Since coming back to Corvallis, Alex has used his prior work experience to specialize in business and real estate law.
